Learn more about the application process for one of our AEB-funded courses.
The application process is slightly different depending on if you're based in England or Scotland.
If you're based in England
There is a three-step application process:
Step 1: Initial Application
Complete your application form. The form takes around 20 minutes to complete, you just need to add your details, including some personal as well as academic, and employment information. As a head's up, you'll also need to upload a picture of your passport, driving license, or birth certificate to match with the government's funding requirements.
Step 2: Maths & English assessment
When your initial application has been completed, we'll follow up with a short initial Maths & English Assessment.
Part of the AEB ESFA funding evidence pack requires us (and all providers) to complete an initial assessment as standard in maths and English for all learners - the rationale is that we should be confirming our learners' current level to make sure they are enrolling on a course that is suitable/they can complete and that we are not setting them up to fail.
Step 3: Accept Funding Partner
Once you have completed your Maths & English Assessment, we will then allocate you to one of our partners who will be providing funding for your course.
When you have accepted your place, you will be emailed a copy of your enrolment paperwork and you will be enrolled on your course.
If you're based in Scotland
The process is actually a bit quicker - lucky you!
Step 1: Initial Application
As above, complete your initial application form for your chosen course.
If you're based in Scotland, you do not need to complete the Maths & English Assessment.
Step 2: Accept Funding Partner
Next up, we'll allocate you to one of our partners who will be providing funding for your course.
Please note...
- You can only complete one funded course at any one time. However, you can complete 4 fully funded level 2 courses per academic year, woohoo!
- It can take up to 14 working days on average from application to starting your course. If you'd like an update on your application status, please email enrolment.enquiries@theskillsnetwork.com and we'll be happy to help.
